Polymer DMT/ Fang Yun Lo

Polymer DMT is a platform for dance and performance projects initiated by choreographer Fang Yun Lo in 2011. Located in Essen and Dresden as well as in Taichung, Taiwan,  Polymer DMT combines and integrates different art forms in collaboration with artists from diverse backgrounds. 

Fang Yun Lo was born in 1982 and studied dance in Taipei and choreography at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Since 2008, she works as a freelance choreographer, director and performance artist. As a performer she has collaborated with artists including Stefan Kaegi / Rimini Protokoll (Schauspiel Hannover, Schauspielhaus Dusseldorf), Lemi Ponifasio (Ruhrtriennale), Tino Sehgal (Lehmbruck Museum), fieldworks (PACT), Robert Wilson (Ruhrtriennale) and Ben J Riepe (Dusseldorf). In 2011 she founded the label Polymer DMT together with fellow artists as a platform for interdisciplinary work.  Her creations to date under this label include ›27 o'clock‹ (dance 2012), ›Die Anderen‹ (dance 2013), ›Whiter Room‹ (multimedia installation with Tobias Rosenberger 2015) and ›Baby View‹ (video work with Mu-Yi Kuo & Clark Stiefel 2015). In 2017 she created ›Luceo‹, her first work for a young audience. Her latest production 'Unsolved' will premiere in September at PACT.  Fang Yun Lo is a Panorama Artist in the European network [DNA] Departures and Arrivals and a member of the dance network iDAS NRW.
