For the past three decades, choreographer, dancer and teacher Benoît Lachambre has been one of the leading protagonists of the international dance and performance scene. Many of his works, which are often created in cooperation with other notable artists such as Meg Stuart or Louise Lecavalier, have been seen at PACT Zollverein. Composer and multi-instrumentalist Hahn Rowe, who has congenially set Lachambre’s latest piece to music, is similarly a long-term and successful collaborator. In ›Snakeskins‹, which will premiere at PACT Zollverein and then go on to the renowned Kunstenfestival in Brussels, Lachambre changes his stage presence like a snake skin and plays with different possibilities of influencing the way the audience views him. Is he a passive participant or provocateur, laboratory animal or manipulator?
