Dancer and choreographer Mathilde Monnier (FR) is since 1994 the artistic director of The Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier Languedoc Roussillon. Here she has created numerous productions which have been presented both in Montpelier and throughout the world including the diptych ›Signé, signés‹, based notably on Merce Cunningham & John Cage’s work.In addition to her work in theatre, Mathilde Monnier has also produced films and published books and in 1999 received the Grand Prix National des Arts du Spectacle Vivant (National Award for the Performing Arts awarded by the French Ministry of Culture and Communications).
