After the great success of ›Still Lives‹ at PACT Zollverein in January last year and further stops in Berlin, Antwerp and at the Dance Platform Germany in Hannover, Good Work Productions / Cie. Isabelle Schad once again return to Essen. Pedestrians are interviewed on the streets of Essen about a photograph by Jeff Wall showing a scene of urban life in post-industrial society. Their comments become the soundtrack for the stage performance, providing information about the background and opinions of the interviewed and at the same time drawing a picture of the town. The recordings are contrasted with scenic and choreographic formations by the company and lay performers, creating over and over new, unique total works of art situated between reality and fiction, the body and its socio-political context
