By creating space for NRW’s artistic, cultural and institutional resources to network with each other, PACT Zollverein will again become a kind of artist’s base camp for the latest regional edition of feldstärke. In this seventh edition of the trans-disciplinary research project, 44 students from different regional arts academies come together in the former pithead baths building to form temporary learning and working alliances. Using a collaborative process, they will develop cross-disciplinary sketches that are particularly relevant to the urban realities of the Ruhr District as well as their own interests and curiosity about the unknown. The platform opens with a showing of the students’ current works and closes with an insight into the ideas and approaches that were developed during feldstärke12 NRW. Both of these showings are open to the general public.
