Léonard Engel is interested in the perception, embodiment and identification of masculinity. He analyzes how masculinity is related to the male body in dance: How are men represented in this way? In discussions with dancers and by theoretical studies Engel seeks a new, masculine aesthetic in a society of equal opportunities across genders.
