RABBIT HOLE
Knowing the trick can be as much fun as being fooled. Like Alice following the rabbit, she becomes quite distracted along the way, even forgetting why she began... Film and choreography join forces to blur the clear distinctions of perception, halfway the dust of a brick factory in Flanders.
Combining research from several years, beginning in a brick factory in Flanders, the project had it's debut as a film in May 2003. After making the first film, we wanted to go further and integrate the film not only in the cinematic environment, but to expose it in a theaterical context within a live performance. The first film took work from the studio into the factory. We decided to go back to the factory to collect material specific to the factory, and work with the images in the studio.

METTE INGVARTSEN OUT OF ORDER
What happens when narratives no longer follow the causes and effects they are suppose to? Out of order can be understood as the relationship of power between the controlling and the controlled. The one with the gun, pointing and the one being pointed at, the one giving orders and the one obeying them, the director and the directed, manipulator and manipulated. Out of Order is about disturbing these features as fixed properties or positions that are not allowed to move.
Three girls with guns, shifting between pointing and being pointed at, directing and Being directed. Moving in and out of the space, the scenes, the characters and in and out of stillness and movements. A machine spitting out stills, fragments, movements and sequences in wrong order.

PAS DODO
In 'Pas dodo' the dancers explore the border lines between improvisation and set material trying to find out how can one look like one another. They took as starting point animal behaviour and instinct such as mating dances, giving birth, l earning different skills etc. Through this process they come up with the terms 'Never mind centering' and 'Relief technique' which define this piece.
