JETLAG – A SERIES OD EXORBITANT PERFORMANCES
- Sat 28.02.09 00:59 h
How to think and how to grasp time have always been pressing questions of philosophy and also of the theatre. It is physically tangible either as a deficit or an abundance and when it shifts, as in the case of jetlag, it creates disorder: sleep and alertness merge into a state of floating vigilance. A similar physical effect arises in the theatre in so-called ›durational performances‹ – pieces that noticeably overstep the typical limitations of one to four hours. This series examines the phenomena of ›time‹ and its effects through dance, installations, film and discussions and presents various positions that profoundly question our relationship to time.
