In a relaxed lounge setting, the ›Brasileirinhos‹ take us on a journey back through time to the period of the Brazilian "belle epoque”. This five strong ensemble share a deep passion for the Brazilian instrumental style of music called Choro which originated in the late 19th century as a result of the exposure of Brazilian musicians to European musical styles in a musical environment that was already strongly influenced by African rhythms. Join us and discover one the most fascinating musical genres in Brazil!
After the concert, local musicians are warmly invited to join the ›Brasileirinhos‹ for a typical ›Roda de Choro‹ jam session. Free sheet music for popular Choro standards is available in advance from matthias.mohr@pact-zollverein.de
