Having worked as a freelance artistic associate with Tanztheater Münster, Kerstin Evert studied Applied Theatre from 1993 to 1997 at the JLU Gießen. In 1997, together with Oliver Behnecke, she directed the opening of the Gießen City jubilee entitled "12 hours - Gießen in space and sound". In July 2000, Evert and Behnecke conceived and realised "Zeitenwende" an urban space staging that switched day with night on a weekend. Evert is currently a graduate student at the FU-Berlin. The main subject of her Ph.D project is the staging of the body in contemporary dance under the influence of and in confrontation with new technologies and media.
