Imayna Caceres

Imayna Caceres, born in Callao in 1979, is an artist whose work grows through extended research in collaboration with non-human entities and local ecosystems and in response to spiritual-political concerns. Engaging with counternarratives of symbiotic worlds that exceed modernity, and through relational and ritual practices, projects in public space, video, as well as digital and analogical drawing. A candidate to the Doctorate in Philosophy by the Akademie der bildenden Künste, she is MA. in Fine Arts and Artistic and Cultural Science, and a graduate in Sociology and Communication Sciences. She is part of the female collectives Trenza and Antikoloniale Interventionen in Wien, which organize around ecopolitical matters.
