Marco da Silva Ferreira last wowed audiences at PACT in 2023, with his piece ›Bisonte‹, which questions stereotypes of masculinity. The Portuguese-born dancer and choreographer, who is influenced by urban dance styles, returns to Essen this autumn for the German premiere of his latest work.

Violence, masculinity and militarisation are central themes in ›F*cking Future‹ – a powerful performance that he will present at PACT shortly after its world premiere at the Biennale de la Danse in Lyon.

On a raised stage open on all four sides, Marco da Silva Ferreira explores the complex interplay of patriarchal systems and emotions. The audience is immersed in a dance between revolution and resistance, in which queers, drags, knights and macho dancers march together.
