In ›A Mary Wigman Dance Evening‹, a dance recital is staged as could it have taken place in the early 1930s. Serving as a model is the program that Wigman presented for her first tour through the United States, composed of nine solos from different dance cycles. The interest of this reconstruction thereby lies in the transformation of the unavoidable modifications to the original into the specific expressivity of the work.
