Using everyday examples and artistic projects, experts Francis Hunger and Natalie Sontopski discuss myths and metaphors of artificial »intelligence« and classify it as a statistical, parameterized machine. They also argue for a historical view that makes clear that AI is not new, but has been researched since the 1950s.
