The grounds of the Zollverein Coking Plant provide the backdrop for this year's Young Triennale Day with PACT Zollverein as the departure point for all activities. In this the third Triennale year, five youth and school theatre groups experimenting with atypical forms of theatre have been invited to participate.

The Project

The centre piece of the youth festival is a performance involving all the participating students - Irrfahrten über Tage (Above round Odyssey) - created in co-operation with the youth theatre project TheaterTotal directed by Barbara Wollrath-Kramer. Spurred by current themes from this year's Triennale project, the young theatre makers will focus their creative attention on scenes inspired by Homer's epic Odyssey.
