In this solo piece, Israeli artist Yasmeen Godder who grew up in New York as the granddaughter of Polish and Syrian grandparents invites the audience to an intimate encounter with the body as a living archive: a repository of traces, memories, and stories in constant flux – porous, resilient, and in a state of perpetual realignment.

The title ›SHELLING‹ refers simultaneously to the concepts of a shell and an impact – thus bringing into focus the body as both a protective shell and a site shaped by external forces.

Emerging from an intensive choreographic exploration of empathy as a connecting, resistant practice, the performance unfolds in movements that oscillate between impulse, collapse, and reformation. ›SHELLING‹ listens to the body’s inner voice and poses the question: How can a body resist without breaking?
