- Performance Dance
In Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s latest work ›Zeitung‹, the ten ROSAS dancers set out in search of a movement language that gives form to music while respecting the inherent autonomy of composition and choreography. To piano music by Bach, Schönberg and Webern, interpreted live by Alain Franco, and recordings of Schönberg and Webern performed by the Berlin Philharmonic, ›Zeitung‹ shines a fresh light on things we think we know by taking them out of their historical context and original social reality, and by allowing the dancers to interpret them within their own histories. The result is a dance reportage in which individual musical and dance interpretations give a present voice to the past.
