Changing memories of weather phenomena or plants as sources of food and reservoirs of knowledge: the open Residency Café ›Plants & Memories‹ offers insights into the work of resident artists Razcel Jan Salvarita and aniara rodado.
The transdisciplinary activist and artist Raz from the Philippines is developing a performative duet at PACT with the 79-year-old artist Elle Divine as part of a larger artistic research project on memories of weather. Meanwhile, starting from the world of plants, Colombian artist and choreographer Aniara Rodado is exploring the forgotten, demonized, and multifaceted knowledge of the Coca plant and its connections to the people who use, cultivate, and care for it. Visitors are invited to engage in conversation with both artists and their teams over coffee, tea, and cake.
With a primary focus on the process-oriented nature of artistic work, PACT's residency program offers selected artists time and space for concentrated work processes and further developing their projects and productions. Each year, the program hosts around 100 international, national, and regional artists, working either individually, in groups, or also in collaboration with experts from other fields of knowledge.
