In ›Adorno‹, Portuguese for »accessory«, »ornament«, or »decoration«, Alice Ripoll contrasts the age of algorithms with what is profoundly human: ornamental gestures, shifting moods, and spontaneous desires – precisely those seemingly trivial embellishments with which each of us shapes life in our own way.

In search of connection amid differences, the choreographer explores the question of how a »we« can be conceived when, among eight billion people, no two are alike. The audience is carried by a group that advances and retreats in waves, much like the course of history itself. The scenes unfold in a dreamlike atmosphere and confront us with what we perceive as unique: our memories, our bodies, our affections – our inner tides.
