›DUO:DO‹ at PACT is the perfect end to a hard day’s work! As part of this new series, we regularly invite you to attend readings and concerts in the foyer on specific Thursdays. Drinks at the bar, inspiring lyrics and electrifying sounds all mean that Thursday already feels a bit like the weekend. The second edition of ›Duo:Do‹ features the Gelsenkirchen-born essayist and playwright Enis Maci and the band SMILE from Cologne.

Enis Maci has received several awards for her theatre plays and essays. At PACT, she will be reading from her latest novel, ›Pando‹, which she wrote in a collaboration with Pascal Richmann. ›Pando‹ tells of places that inscribe themselves in your memory long before you set foot in them.

SMILE demonstrate repeatedly, that post-punk can still sound refreshing: an enticing mix of the experimental and the self-willed. In the process, the subtle observations of US singer Rubee True Fegan merge with innovative, sensual guitar music.

After the summer break, it's back to beats and books: Stay tuned!
