They’re silly, they’re wise, sometimes they’re a bit embarrassing, but most of the time they’re honest and brave. They often know things better than others because they’ve experienced them themselves. Men around 50. Americans Jess Curtis and Scot Angus Balbernie meet to dance, to fantasize, to lament about their aging bodies, the onset of little aches and pains, their unused talents, unfulfilled hopes and dreams. Their summing up of their own 50-something generation is open and unconventional. ›Jess meets Angus‹ is the second episode of the generational project ›Just between us!‹ developed by Silke Z./resistdance as a dance performance series looking at the life issues of different generations.Silke Z. lives and works in Cologne as a freelance choreographer. She studied dance and skiing at the Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln and completed her training at the European Dance Development Centre (EDCC) in Arnhem/ Düsseldorf. Silke Z. has received numerous prizes and awards for her work. She is a co-founder of ›Studio 11‹, a Cologne production venue, of ›studioworks‹, an international performance series in Cologne as well as of the European exchange network, ›studiotrade‹.
