Eine größere Gruppe von Menschen sitzt dicht beieinander auf Hockern und Stühlen in einem langgestreckten, lichtdurchfluteten Raum mit hohen Fenstern und Backsteinwänden. Die Personen sind überwiegend sommerlich gekleidet. Im Hintergrund steht ein Tisch, wo eine Person sitzt und eine Lesung hält. Sonnenlicht fällt durch die großen Fenster.
