DUO:DO is your evening out at PACT! On selected Thursdays we invite you to enjoy a reading and a concert in our foyer – for the perfect early start to the weekend, with drinks at the bar, inspiring texts and electrifying sounds. We are looking forward to the next edition with meme queen Svea Mausolf, among others.

Svea Mausolf is an artist and comedian and the author of various comedy formats such as ›Kroymann‹. She came to fame via her Instagram account @sveamaus. Her sold-out comedy tour in 2023/24 took her to all the major cities in Germany and Austria. Mausolf grew up in Märkisch-Oderland, dropped out of her art degree studies at Essen University and now lives in Cologne.

At PACT she reads from her first novel ›Image‹ – a dark and bitterly bleak satire on a brutalised society in which moral borders have long since been transgressed: because 37-year-old Peggy Brinkmann can neither successfully end nor unsuccessfully terminate her studies, her parents have cut her off financially. Since then, she has had to share the kitchen and bathroom with Martin, who spends his time either playing with his dick or painting his fingernails – although he is not gay. When her long-term girlfriend also breaks up with her, Peggy ends up in the arms of Veronique, who waits tables in a dirty corner pub called Image. This marks the startof a rapid chain of events that culminates at the engagement party of Peggy’s sister, the Christian influencer Jenny.

As always, the evening will conclude with a concert after the reading – this time, the French duo Heimat, consisting of Armelle Oberle and Olivier Demeaux, will hypnotize the audience with their post-wave-art-dub sound.
