Geumhyung Jeong

The works of Korean based choreographer, dancer and interdisciplinary artist, Geumhyung Jeong, constantly renegotiate the relationship between the human body and the objects which surround it. Through intense and risky physical interaction with her own body, she bestows plain everyday objects with bizarre and disconcerting lives of their own.

During a simulated emergency situation which raises both personal and universal questions, Jeong resolutely attempts in her performance ›CPR Practice‹ to save the life of a dummy whose breathing and heartbeat have stopped.
