Tim Etchells

›Vacuum Days (The Show Stoppers)‹ is a selection of 20 posters taken from Tim Etchells 2011 project ›Vacuum Days‹ which comprised 365 days of online announcements for imaginary events, unlikely, absurd and uncomfortable performances, crazed lectures, and outrageous contests. Spelled out in overzealous capitals and small print, the posters summon and echo political situations and events - the ongoing economic crisis, Internet gossip and the day-to-day excesses of media sensationalism and failures of capitalism, reframing everything as violent and comical spectacle.

Exhibition opens 1.02.14 and can be seen until June 2014
