The Duisburg Festival DOXS RUHR has been specializing in children's and youth films for over 20 years, making it the first festival of its kind in Germany. It has since become an institution for young film enthusiasts. For the third time, DOXS RUHR is now a guest here in Essen-Katernberg, presenting short films for young viewers aged 4 and above on the big screen, in collaboration with the WerkStadt.

The films shown are age-appropriate and aim to touch, engage, and let children discover new things. DOXS RUHR invites you on a cinematic journey where the world reveals itself in all its colorful facets. Now, it's time to explore it together. Everything is in motion: sand snails venture out of their safe shells on the beach, a matchstick experiences the trials and joys of soccer, and children discover that although conflict can lead to inner turmoil, it can also be helpful. And Emily's energy is simply unstoppable.
