SPITZENFÖRDERUNG IM TANZ? – KÜNSTLER UND EXPERTEN IM GESPRÄCH

Based on the new NRW dance sponsorship concept which the Federal State Government introduced earlier this year under the label ›Tanzland NRW‹, PACT Zollverein is inviting regional, national and international dance makers to join in a public discussion addressing possible future models of support for dance.

Are steps such as the promotion of excellence in independent contemporary dance companies, a marketing agency for dance and a heightened focus on existing dance centers in the cities, potential components of an innovative sustainable support concept that can adequately react to the demands and needs of the dance scene in NRW and also generate new impulses that will strengthen dance both locally and beyond the region?

Our aim is to stimulate discussion on practicable concepts for models of ongoing support for dance and to begin constructively considering the (re-) situation of artists, companies, production houses and centres of education in the region.
