Following the performative tour across the slag heap as part of the summer festival ›Shifting Grounds – IN COMMON‹, we invite you to the PACT terrace to experience the DJ set by Deena Abdelwahed.

The Tunisian DJ, producer, and composer of electronic music lives between France and Tunisia. Her DJ practice is rooted in global club music: she has developed a curatorial direction that transcends geographical boundaries while simultaneously giving clear priority to the Arabic-speaking world. At the heart of Abdelwahed's work lies the synthesis and abstraction of instrumental rhythms and timbres. She confronts listeners familiar with acoustic instruments with their electronic doubles. Her mixing relies on extended polyrhythmic layerings and the overlap of tempi, harmonies and languages. This unique style has led her to some of the most demanding spheres of the clubbing world, including Dekmantel Festival, De School, Berghain, and Draaimolen Festival, as well as to the main stages of major European festivals such as Glastonbury, Sónar, Dour, and We Love Green.
