A search for autonomy.

»The upside-down man«, that’s how the Belgo-Tunisian choreographer and dancer Mohamed Toukabri named himself in his first solo. Known for his ability to navigate between worlds – be it street and stage, hip hop and postmodernism, personal and political – Toukabri now turns his sharp choreographic eye to the very architecture of dance itself. He digs into his own body like an archaeologist, exploring the different layers of dance within him. At the same time, he tries to create an opening, a decolonization of his imagination. What responsibility do we have in what we transmit, erase, or maintain? We are all involved in the act of reimagination, and this solo is an invitation to reimagine it together.
