Since 1971, electronic music has been a firm component of research and teaching at Folkwang University of the Arts – decisive developments in electronic music also began here: together with the Berlin company Hofschneider, special units for live electronic music evolved as well as the legendary synthesizer SYNLAB. This workshop will introduce both historical aspects and present-day processes in electronic sound synthesis. In practical exercises, the participants can try out the models presented themselves, so grasping all the possibilities they offer.
