Mary Wigman’s ›Le Sacre du Printemps‹ premiered at the Städtische Oper Berlin in 1957. Since then the work has been considered lost. Drawing on surviving sketches, notes and photographs and the support of original cast members and Wigman’s contemporaries, her choreography was reconstructed and restaged by the theatres of Osnabrück and Bielefeld in 2013. Henrietta Horn, artistic director of the reconstruction team, talks about the process and questions that arose during its course.
