›À la carte‹ is made up of longer and shorter scenes with no predetermined order. In conversation with the audience, the dancers make on-the-spot choices of props, music and a variety of dance styles, as if a varied menu is being cooked together. In this way, every evening brings a unique experience for both audience and dancers. With the Greek choreographer and dancer Ioannis Mandafounis as its new artistic director, the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company presents a fresh perspective on choreography as a democratic process.
