This new performance by Danish choreographer Mette Ingvartsen promises a night of intoxication: in ›Delirious Night‹, young dance enthusiasts cause a masked ball to escalate completely. Inspired by dance manias and derailed festivities, the nine performers follow the impulses of unstoppable, rebellious movement.
Freed from the rules of everyday life, they drift on the waves of their dance frenzy. Between lust, euphoria, joy and chaos, a collective energy is created.
The infectious dance sparks overwhelming feelings of liberation, simultaneously posing the question of how outbreaks of movement mania can be interpreted as social and political events. ›Delirious Night‹ creates a wild, intoxicating picture of collectivity, freedom and escape.
