While working in residency at PACT Zollverein from the 16th to the 25th of June, German choreographer Nicole Beutler is presenting a first public showing of her latest production ›5:ECHO‹ that premieres next month during the Julidans festival in Amsterdam.

Inspired by the radical performance work by Koert Stuyf and Ellen Edinoff that blew conventions in dance art in the seventies, Beutler has reworked the choreography ›Vermiljoen‹ (1978) by Bianca van Dillen to create an original dance performance that reflects her own poetic minimalistic approach.

Scenically designed by Theun Mosk, ›5:ECHO‹ combines a solo performance, a film and a choreography for six dancers with a rousing sound score by Gary Shepherd and a shimmering lighting design by Minna Tiikkainen.

Drinks are available in the foyer.
