In her research, Maria F. Scaroni investigates the self-portrait as positioning in the fabric of different notions of belonging to places, various communities, and her own body. In the form of an audio-visual documentation Scaroni manages to depict the alternative relational networks in a present in which the opportunities of healing and the interlocking of seemingly unconnected people and places, histories and values become visible.
