Henrike Thomsen

Henrike Thomsen trained as an editor at the German School of Journalism (DJS) in Munich from 1990-94. In parallel to this she began studying for a diploma in journalism at the LMU in Munich in 1990. In 1995 she changed courses to theatre studies and received her M.A in 1997. In 1998 she completed a course of further studies in culture journalism at the New School for Social Research in New York on a scholarship from the Alexander und Rita Besser-Stiftung für Auslands- und Wissenschaftsjournalismus sponsored by the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes. Henrike Thomsen is now a freelance author and critic living in Berlin. Her writing focuses on theatre, art and cultural politics.
