Fabrice Mazliah

Fabrice Mazliah (CH) was born in Geneva and studied dance at the Ecole de Danse de Genève, the National School of Athens and the Rudra Bejart Atelier in Lausanne. He was a member of the Nederlands Dans Theater in Holland before joining in 1997 Ballett Frankfurt directed by William Forsythe and continued in 2005 with the Forsythe Company. Since 1998 Fabrice Mazliah has produced numerous works and projects of his own including ›P.A.D.‹ in 2007 in collaboration with Ioannis Mandafounis and ›HUE‹ for the Forsythe Company. In 2009 he formed the collaborative trio ›mamaza‹ with Ioannis Mandafounis and May Zarhy. Their creations including ›ZERO”‹ (2009), ›Cover Up‹ (2011), ›The Nikel Project‹ (2013) and Eifo Efi (2014) have been co-produced and by numerous venues and festivals across Europe, such as the Kunstenfestivaldesarts, kunstlerhaus mousonturm Frankfurt, The Forsythe Company, Les Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis and PACT Zollverein. Fabrice Mazliah regularly leads ateliers and improvisation workshops in different countries for professional and non-professional dancers, as well as for visual-art students.In autumn 2015, he makes a welcome return to PACT with his latest production ›In Act and Thought‹ created in collaboration with dancers of the former Forsythe Company.
