SOUND ON – Vol. 3

Behind successful artists in the music industry, there is always a strong supportive network. The ›SOUND ON‹ format has been a magnet for young talent since 2020 and this year is all about collaboration. ›SOUND ON Vol. 3‹ presented itself as a platform for self-empowerment, networking and knowledge sharing: Rap artist Dein Couseng and radio host Tilmann Köllner invited young music creators to showcase their skills, exchange ideas and collaborate with professionals.
Katzi and the band Animat showed the audience the way to their own sound in the combined workshop ›Producing / Songwriting‹, regardless of whether they made rap or folk. Crystal Glass shared valuable tips for solo songwriters who wanted to develop their sound in the ›Indie Gems‹ course. Dein Couseng shared creative strategies from his everyday life as a rapper and entertainer in the ›Advanced Pen Game‹ workshop. In the ›Hands On Live Lecture‹, Alina Denisiuc (guitar: Rin, Casper) and Benjamin Weu from Figur Lemur passed on strategies that gave confidence both at a living room concert and on the festival stage. In addition to many opportunities for musical collaboration, there were backdrops for content creators and all the refinements of a modern venue.
It all started on Friday with ›SOUND ON meets Nouruz‹: a cozy talk with the hosts and the participants of Vol. 1 - 3 that offered space for anecdotes of successes and creative dampeners, while the unique vibe of the Nouruz spring festival unfolded in the foyer. DJ TAĪĪZ caused with unique bits a stir from 7 pm.
To participate in the workshops, applicants had to apply in advance via the open call. Spontaneous participation was not possible. After the workshops on Saturday, a joint public closing concert took place at 8 p.m.
