Lang was born in Neheim-Hüsten and trained as a goldsmith at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau. She then studied jewellery and product design at the Fachhochschule Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. Since graduating in 2005, she works as a freelance jewellery designer. She has collaborated regularly with Per Pegelow on projects including, amongst others, "Gating- in 8 minutes around the world".
