Strategies and scope of theatrical practices
An interactive symposium in 3 episodes in 3 days + 2 public performances

IDEA
ImPACT 04 considers strategies, methodologies and tools used in theatre practices today. Taking part are three leading groups all of whose work explores the extents, confines and possibilities of theatre and theatrical spaces. BLAST THEORY (GB), BALLETT FRANKFURT (D) und RIMINI PROTOKOLL (D) offer an insight into their working practices, ideas and projects.

PRACTICE
Lectures, live and multimedia presentations as well as group discussions and actions held in spaces both in and around PACT Zollverein generate a conducive atmosphere for experimenting and reflecting.The working language of the symposium is English.

PARTICIPATION
imPACT 04 is aimed at artists / practitioners / theoreticians and advanced students of theatre, dance and media arts.

Studio-Projects: imPACT 04 also offers participants an opportunity to present and discuss examples of their own work.
Participants: 38 (elected from a board from 106 applications from 20 countries)
