| Innumerable are the tangencies between art and economy. Borderline 09/10 investigates these multifarious relations – the overlapping, pervasion, opposition, and application, the differences and their dissolutions.
Prelude to the multipart project was a workshop in December that fathomed the topic from the perspectives of art, marketing, consulting, and theory. In spring of 2010 an artistic research film will be produced by a company in Essen to be shown in the autumn at PACT Zollverein. A publication will then textually and pictorially unite these two aspects.
Borderline will be held at PACT Zollverein in the work area of research and development. Starting from the very first event in 2006 on the relationship between art and economy, Borderline has been dedicated to the borderlines in contemporary art between personal autonomy and its entwinement with other societal contexts. |
